Yarn

I recently bought some Lorna's Laces sock yarn in the clearance bin at my local yarn store (Wool Basket). I loved it in the hank, I loved it in the yarn cake, I hated it when it was knit :(

Does that happen to you?

    It has definitely happened to me! Sometimes I find I like it better if I move it to a different project at a different gauge / stitch count.

    For that, I wonder if the answer could be to put it into something striped with a solid color to break up the multi-coloredness of the yarn?

    (That's always been one of my favorite colorways of her's, although I've never knit with it. Bummer to hear it's not a lovely knit up!)

    I have had that happen too. Have you knit Cookie A's monkey socks? The pattern works magic with wild yarn.
